Favorite Yoga Studios/Gyms

Yogis Anonymous is one of my favorite studios in LA! They have great teachers and a great vibe. Also, check out their collection of streamed yoga classes!

Flow Yoga Center is where I did my y0ga teacher training and is my favorite DC studio.

Exhale has a amazing teachers, many of whom teach in the Prana Flow style. In addition, their Core Fusion classes are a killer strengthening workout (much like Pure Barre and other similar methods).

Power Yoga is one of the original yoga studios in LA. It’s donation based and the majority of classes are all levels. They’re designed to make you sweat and challenge you. A great option for the aYthlete looking for a challenging addition to their workout!

Yoga Glo provides a ton of online classes with some of my favorite teachers, and it’s only $18/month! Good for the recessionista yogini! It’s also based in LA, and you can attend classes here for free if you’ve paid for the online classes.

Yoga Works is one of the classic and most reputable studios in LA. There are studios in Santa Monica, Westwood, the Valley, the South Bay, and more. Lots of attention to alignment. Great place to learn yoga and get the foundations under your belt.

I love Steve Ross’s classes at Maha Yoga in Brentwood. You can do yoga to loud hip hop and top 40’s (not for everone!). I even practiced next to Russell Simmons one time. Dope!

Zan and her quirky, funky studio, Zanzilla Yoga, in Ventura, CA are a great find! Her Rock Classics class is so much fun πŸ™‚

Favorite Teachers

Brock and Krista Cahill are truly an inspiration and two of my favorite teachers to take class from. They both inspire me to push myself and explore my edges.

Angela Kukhahn is my yoga ninja scorpion sister. πŸ™‚ Her teaching style is sweet and funny, and she can teach well for people at all levels.

Kathryn Budig is an amazing teacher; she’s fantastic at breaking down challenging arm balances and inversions.Her dog, Ashi, is super cute too. πŸ™‚

Ashley Albrand teaches a spiritual and physically challenging class, and has an adorable dog, Walli!

Dice Iida-Klein is super strong and also super sweet. His classes are a perfect blend of both πŸ™‚

Health Tips/Yoga Stuff

Yoga Earth provides great nutritional supplements as well as some amazing videos.

Elephant Journal has a huge collection of articles about all things yoga related.

The Accidental Yogist gives the low down on yoga all around the greater LA area. A great place to scope out the latest happenings in the yoga world!

Photography

Jasper Johal is one of my favorite yoga photographers (and was lovely enough to provide me with many of the photos in here).

James Knowles is another photographer I’m grateful to have shot with, and he’s a recent addition to the yoga photography scene.

Robert Sturman takes amazing yoga photographs and incorporates the outdoors.

My friend Jeffrey Platts writes a great blog about finding love and remaining true to yourself.

One Mango Tree makes adorable bags, totes, and clothes AND uses a fair-trade model to provide income for women in war- and conflict-ridden areas of the globe.Β  Check out their yoga mat bags, eye pillows, and meditation cushions!

Single Tease has some excellent ways to meet a new person! Fun t-shirts, water bottles, and shirts for your pup!

Humor
